Rift Guide that can help me....... (2024)

by Yadi because I hate being inefficient with timed objectives and wanted to know what I was doing before I dropped in each time, but I would HIGHLY recommend watching the entire section and routing whatever you want to do first. The Rift Guide that the Wizard but Weird lets you use is essentially the same thing, but the guide runs around each area and says how the quests work for the most part. I don't think I've seen anyone on a live profile make a guide yet, but I'm almost done with everything in West Village and just starting Dreadfarm so I'm not sure of the overall quality of the video (The video is split into each section so it's really easy to keep spoiler free of the next section if you want to get the most time from each area before spending more time to get into the next one earlier), but it's how I've been getting through the rift without being generally confused on what I'm doing

Some pieces of advice (assuming you got at least Supreme Timecharm):

• To get to the Village Plaza, you need Chicken N' Egg Timecharm and ‬‮Mirrorverse Timecharm‬.
• If you have one, transfer a Weird Tuba to the Rift. It gives +1 Rift Damage!
• Always try to get Enigma Souls and Montezuma soul fragments. They give a lot of total Rift Time!
• Upgrade your hat to Not-Very-Deadgehog Hat when you can
• When you get the chance, do Supreme Leech again for Aspect of the Leech. It's very helpful.
• Shadows: If you constantly run away after hitting them 3 times they won't get you with Shadow Bump. If you feel confident in them not moving randomly during Shadow Bump, you can lure them up, then jump over them after to make them bump in the same spot for maximum efficiency. Make sure to kill at least 12.
• Mirrorverse Timecharm takes place in a basem*nt, which removes 3m Rift Time, but makes you not lose Rift Time while down there. Just keep calm when doing the puzzles, as you're no longer on a time limit. The reward for completing all 7 tests is 60k motes! To get the timecharm, you need (I think 5k?) motes and 12 Shadow Crux. You also need motes and Shadow Crux for ‮Iron Chestplate‬, but take your time with that one.
• Volts: Hit them 4 times then run away. Either someone will loot share it, or you can go back after 3 lightning strikes to finish it off.
• Wilted Berberis: A small field is better than a large one. Punch the plant with purple particles, follow the direction the particles move, repeat. Get 120.
• Cac... I can't spell this one: You break the top one (3 times), then the middle one (3-4 times), then the bottom one (1 time). Try not to break multiple layers at the same time too much. Get 40.
• Ag... the Mushrooms: Stare at it, wait 4 seconds, react with a (right) left click once it turns into a red mushroom and makes noise. You have to be quick (and hope TPS doesn't suck)! Get 40.
• Make sure to unlock the Baba Yaga eye.
• Chicken N' Egg Timecharm requires the Proto-Chicken, which in turn requires:
  • Wilted Berberis Bunch (20 WB)
  • Cacodemonducous Stem Bunch (20 CS)
  • Agaricus Cap Bunch (20 AC)
• The timecharm itself also needs:
  • 2 Wilted Berberis Bunch (4o WB)
  • 1 Caducous Stem Bunch (20 CS)
  • 1 Agaricus Cap Bunch (20 AC)
  • 8 Metaphorical Eggs (needs Berberis Blowgun, which is 60 Wilted Berberis not compacted)
• Scribes: They have a limited amount of patterns. Hit them 3 times, look at the coal blocks as they're making it, and only avoid the laser once it's done making Coal Blocks. You need 16.
• Half-Eaten Carrots are fun and totally not hours of suffering.

• Make sure to unlock the Banker eye.
• Barry needs help with people. For the chat selection answers, be careful of chat messages moving it up!
  • The math homework answer is 10 years.
  • The final answer for the Tax is 32,000 motes.
  • The lagging guy is on the wrong proxy.
  • The guy asking for motes needs you to pay 300 of them.
  • The rest are listening to Barry and clicking the response he mentions.
• The actual timecharm, after helping the people, requires 16 Scribe Crux.
• Don't even bother with Shen's auction, it's just people spending 100m coins on rift-transferrable items to cause Mote inflation.
• Bacte fight requires 15 minutes and all of the previous 5 Timecharms.

Not a complte guide, but lengthy enough to help for the next several runs you have.

For the mushroom one, i still cannot get ONE of them, is it the ping problem??

Try waiting 5-6 seconds if 4 seconds doesn't work. You have to hit it while it's red.
